Wine Brand Ambassador Cape Winelands

You will be responsible for growing wine sales outside of the estate, securing and maintaining wine listings at trade outlets, and representing the brand at events and tastings. You will work closely with trade partners, distribution reps, and private clients to build brand presence and drive sales in your territory. Our client, a prestigious wine estate in the Wineland region, is looking for a dynamic and driven Brand Ambassador to join their wine sales and marketing team.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) — essential
• Diploma or degree in Sales or Marketing — preferred
• Wine-related qualification — advantageous
• Minimum 3 years' experience in FMCG sales — essential
• Minimum 3 years' experience in the wine industry — essential
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence with no endorsements
• Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluent in English — both written and verbal

Key Responsibilities

• Sell wines directly to corporate businesses and private customers
• Meet and exceed sales targets for volume, availability, and visibility
• Negotiate and maintain wine listings at restaurants, retail outlets, and other venues
• Represent the brand at wine shows, trade shows, and tasting events
• Organise and run wine tastings for trade staff, private clients, and functions
• Train and support third-party sales representatives on brand messaging
• Manage your customer database via CRM and submit monthly sales reports
• Identify events and activation that deliver a positive return on investment
• Work in close partnership with the distribution partner
• Excellent relationship-building and networking ability
• Confident presenter with good business communication skills
• Self-motivated, self-driven, and innovative
• Able to plan and execute brand activation and wine tastings independently
• Professional and well-presented at all times
