What you will be leading

• Running and supervising both the workshop and wash bay
• Managing a team: hiring, training, scheduling, delegating
• Overseeing repairs & maintenance on tautliner and tipper trailers
• Ensuring every job card, work order and database entry is accurate
• Enforcing strict health & safety standards
• Inspecting equipment, machinery and the entire workshop environment
• Maintaining quality, productivity and cleanliness at all times
• Rolling up your sleeves when needed, tools in hand

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Qualified Mechanic / similar trade
• 2+ years experience in a transport/logistics workshop
• 2+ years hands-on experience with tautliner and/or tipper trailers
• Medically fit and willing to work overtime/weekends
• Strong, respected leadership presence
• Deep experience working on tautliner and/or side tipper trailers
• A qualified mechanic background (or similar)
• Ability to remain calm, decisive and organised under pressure
• Clear communication verbal, written and technical
• Confidence operating workshop machinery
• A mindset focused on safety, structure and results

Work Environment

You will spend around 80% of your time in the workshop, 20% managing wash bay activity.
