XRF Technician

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a XRF Technician who will be responsible for the operation and management of X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analyser, XRF sample management, coordination with AHK Durban operations team and ad-hoc on-site work.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Technical Knowledge

• Mature and responsible qualities


• Technical knowledge and experience with X-Ray Fluorescence


• Knowledge of ISO Standards 12743 and 10251


• Knowledge on sampling theory of mineral and mine products


• Proficient computer skills; email, Google drive, Microsoft office


• Prior experience to using Olympus Vanta software for the manipulation and management of data is desirable

Required Work Experience

• Experience using X-Ray Fluorescence, developing calibration curves and handling the associated software packages


•  Operations site experience

Required Qualifications

• Degree related to Chemistry, Mining, Engineering or Science industry

Required Languages

• English (Verbal and written)
