ZA Associate Content Operations

About the role

Associate – Content Operations is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate focused on the end-to-end management of the content and promotions for SportyBet South Africa. The role sits at the intersection of content creation, operational execution, and process control, ensuring that content is accurate, compliant, timely, and optimized for both users and the business.
The Content Operations role is about keeping content running smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring the right content goes live, in the right place, at the right time, and to the right standard.

What you'll be doing

• Plan, schedule, and execute all day-to-day backend content operations, including the timely deployment of creative assets, content modifications, and promotional campaigns, ensuring 100% accuracy and visual integrity across the site.


• Reviewing of content copy for site as well as additional Sporty content eg: SportyBlog.


• Efficiently multitask and coordinate backend content deployment and troubleshooting across multiple global regions.


• Monitor and maintain the functional integrity and visual performance of the site's backend with a zero margin of error and no delays.


• Manage and resolve all operational and customer service escalations (Level 2/3). Use system tools and available data to troubleshoot issues efficiently and ensure error-free, high-quality solutions.


• Proactively analyse existing operational processes to identify and suggest performance improvements and efficiency gains, utilizing a creative approach to problem-solving.


• Document and escalate product improvement opportunities to concerned stakeholders to enhance the platform's content and performance.


• Apply strong global sports knowledge and research skills to proactively identify content gaps and potential business opportunities for the platform.


• Maintain content consistency and adherence to all regulatory and internal compliance standards.

What you'll bring

• Fluent in written and spoken English.


• Proven track record to review, sub-edit, and refine copy to improve clarity, tone, and impact.


• Creative, with a strong ability to develop original slogans and compelling promotional messaging for sports and casino campaigns.


• Experience developing betting-related promotional ideas and campaign concepts for ZA market


• Deep knowledge and understanding of local ZA casino content/providers as well as general betting products, including Lucky Numbers and Horse Racing (bonus)


• Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to maintain precision in a fast-paced, dynamic content environment.


• Strong Excel / Google Spreadsheet skills for daily operational tracking, data analysis, and reporting.


• Solid understanding of current global sporting activities, prominent sports/teams, and geographical sporting preferences.


• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or deploying content for the customer-facing front end of an E-Commerce or related online platform


• Minimum 1 year of operations support experience. (Previous experience in sports related platforms is a plus.)


• A bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education is beneficial.


• Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends on a rotational basis is required
