SUMMARY:
Ability to communicate in other major European languages depending on the itinerary of the Ship, is
an advantage.
Sound interpersonal skills, particularly at crew-to-crew and passenger-crew level to ensure harmonious
workplace relations. At least three years’ experience as sea-going Shop Manager with another cruise line or successful completion of MSC Shops’ internal promotion plan from Assistant Shop Manager – Sales &
Marketing and Inventory Control. POSITION INFO:
Lead, develop and support your team to achieve or exceed set sales budgets & PPD's every
cruise, through consistent, documented mentoring and coaching.
Ensure all sales opportunities / events are maximised, through consistent, documented
mentoring and coaching
Actively identify and mentor (min) x1 potential Asst Mgr / Category Specialist, ensuring a clear
succession plan for your location every month.
Complete a Probationary IPM for all new-hire staff (Word Doc if Pelago doesn't allow), include all
documented coaching / training in commentaries to quantify scoring.Complete an EOC IPM for all staff (WordDoc if Pelago doesn't allow), include all documented
coaching / training in commentaties to quantify scoring
Effectively manage all sales floors, submit qualitative & "SMART" EOC reports, and initiate x1
phone call p/week w/GVA operations.Complete your personal development program, actively and continuously grow your knowledge
and experience in the goods, promotions and events we offer Foster strong relationships with Brand Partners, and actively participate in all trainings / visits by
brands and suppliers.
Maintain Visual Merchandising to Model Store / Category Manager / Fleet Supervisor set standards at all times.
Ensure all counts / inventories are completed accurately, timely and per instruction.
Consistently make effective use of -2 reports to adjust Cruise Plans as necessary and target
potential high-spend nationalities / VIP clients.
Ensure positive Guest Service and Satisfaction through presence on shop floor and during all
retail events
