We're on the hunt for a Marketing Coordinator to support the Commercial & PR marketing team in executing various marketing strategies and campaigns and ensuring that all other administrative tasks related to the marketing process is executed.
We're a fully in-office team. The position is based at our Support Centre in Kuils River, Cape Town.
Key responsibilities:
1. Campaign Coordination:
- Planning, coordination, and execution of marketing & PR campaigns. This involves scheduling tasks, coordinating with different teams, and ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Content creation & Management: creating or overseeing the creation of marketing content such as social media posts, blog articles, email newsletters, and promotional materials. Ensure that content is on-brand and aligns with the overall marketing strategy.
- Social Media Management: oversee social media channels, including content creation, posting schedules, engagement with followers, and monitoring of performance metrics. This involves statying up-to-date with social media trends and best practices.
2. Administration
- Market research: conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape. Analyse data to gain insights that inform marketing strategies and tactics.
- Track the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives using analytics tools. This involves gathering data, analyzing metrics, and preparing reports to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team, which may include scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Managing the administration of the advertising budget which includes capturing invoices on SAP
3. Other
- Event planning: help plan events such as product launches, trade shows, or promotional events, including logistics, venue selection, and promotional activities.
- Continuous learning and development: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices through professional development activities such as attending workshops, webinars, and pursuing relevant certifications
Experience required:
Essential:
- 1 - 2 years’ experience in a marketing coordinator role
Preferred:
- Experience within a retail business environment.
- Experience within a marketing agency environment.
Qualifications required:
- A National Diploma in Marketing or Advertising or A Degree in Marketing or Advertising
Knowledge required:
- A working knowledge of the media terminology and understanding thereof.
- Knowledge in advertising / marketing platforms (ATL, digital and social)
- An understanding of the commercial retail process
SKILLS required:
- Skilled in Microsoft MS 365
