Job Overview

The Counter Sales Agent is responsible for customer engagement, customer service and sales generation by providing expert advice and information relating to products, services and offers to walk-in customers.

Purpose of the Role

• Will be responsible for Sales and Counter Administration in the store.
• Will work face to face with customers and must have excellent customer service.
  
• Excellent communication skills to communicate with customers professionally.
  
• Will check the system for stock availability and generate quotations.
  
• Prepare invoice for payment.
  

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12
• Sales certification (preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of consumer behaviour
• Proven experience in a sales related role (Mandatory)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in sales (Mandatory)

Skills and Knowledge

• Sales skills in Wheels and Tyres (preferred)

• Knowledgeable in Tyre applications: (Preferred)

• Natural ability for customer focus

• Product knowledge (In-house training) + external

• Demonstrates interpersonal skills to engage with customers effectively

• Professional verbal communication skills

• Strong attentiveness and listening skills

• Best practice telephone etiquette

• Strong persuasion and negotiation capability

• Ability to multitask and operate under pressure to meet lead times

• Quick thinker

• Highly focused and target driven

• High level diligence with meticulous attention to detail

• Excellent problem-solving

• Polite and friendly tone of voice

• Fluent English, bilingual a plus another South African Language

• Basic user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
