Job Description - Freelance Media Sales Manager for a media company

We are seeking a highly motivated Freelance Media Sales Manager with a proven track record in winning accounts within the media space, particularly in merchandising, branding, printing, publishing, and outdoor advertising. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise to drive sales and expand our client base.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the media sector, focusing on merchandising, branding, printing, publishing, and outdoor advertising.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including existing clients such as Samsung, Huawei, and Cellc.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.

Account Management

  • Manage and grow existing accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
  • Monitor and report on account performance, identifying areas for improvement and growth.

Performance and KPI Management

  • Set and achieve sales targets and KPIs.
  • Track and analyse sales performance data, making adjustments to strategies as necessary to meet or exceed targets.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on sales activities and progress.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing/media sales, with a strong emphasis on merchandising, branding, printing, publishing, and outdoor advertising.


Skills and Competencies
Proven track record of winning accounts and driving sales growth in the media space.
Strong understanding of the media landscape and trends in South Africa, particularly in outdoor advertising.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency with CRM software and other sales tools.


Preferred Attributes:

Existing network of contacts within the media industry. Experience working with high-profile clients. Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
