Job Description
The primary purpose of the role is as follows:
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of sales representatives by ensuring optimal allocation of Key Account s and support them with direct involvement on identifying new business, maintaining Key customers and regaining lost business.
Develop a strategy to develop on Key industry segments including construction, mining, water treatment, paints and coatings as well as identity new business in addition to current footprint.
Manage the productivity of the team using necessary reporting tools available to ensure optimum call rates, effective selling and commercialization of business.
Conduct quarterly performance reviews with the team members using the Company's Performance development tools and agreed Key Performance indicator, including budget targets.
Active use of the SMARTSHEET pipeline activity trackers and ensure necessary disciplines and targeted conversion criteria is met( dates/stakeholders/Customers/Projects)
Setting of monthly price lists to ensure margin contribution, stock turnaround and contractual obligations are managed accurately.
Determine necessary training and upskilling of sales personnel through the performance review process.
Inherent Requirements
Qualifications and Education requirements:
BSc or similar tertiary qualification
Minimum of 5 years in similar role preferably having successfully managed a Division/Business unit.
Sound knowledge of principles of sales and marketing – this includes marketing strategy and tactics, products demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources.
Making decisions and solving problems – Analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems
