SUMMARY:
Regional Sales & Marketing Manager
POSITION INFO:
Regional Manager - Sales & Business Development - based in South Africa for an international Sanitaryware manufacturer and distributor
Overall role purpose:
Create the business in own territory including the establishment of strong partnerships, a scalable infrastructure and to build the brand. Reporting to General Manager.
Minimum requirements:
- Qualified in Sales/Marketing or Finance ideally to degree level or equivalent.
- Project management experience and success.
- Strong commercial awareness and demonstrable commercial success, exceeding targets throughout career.
- Proficiency with MS Office and other basic desktop applications is assumed.
- Ability to leverage and engage internal resources and drive cross functional projects.
Key Accountabilities and corresponding activities:
Deliver the budget:
- Set and achieve sales, delivery and installation targets.
- Maintain forward visibility of pipeline activity to ensure the achievement of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial objectives.
- Report on performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Provide a scalable infrastructure for long term business development:
- Establish a sales pipeline through tenacious research and building a target customer strategy.
- Build trusted relationships with targeted core clients appropriate to the brand.
- Develop sales channels within key markets and strong long-term relationships with potential clients.
- Build on existing strategic partnerships.
- When it becomes necessary, engage outsourced business partners including legal; stock management and distribution; sales development; recruitment and payroll.
Implement a brand strategy:
- Identify sales opportunities platforms and events and ensure the company has a strong presence, if cost effective
- Quality control, at such events
Provide initial and ongoing forecasting:
- Monitor competitor intelligence and use this to improve our value proposition.
- Manage the team and set targets and review performance frequently.
- Assess and report on market conditions and emerging opportunities.
HO interaction:
- Liaise with HO functions to ensure new client experience is professional, efficient, and enjoyable.
- Maximise new client performance through regular updates and engagement with relevant colleagues: Operations (Production and Supply Chain); Finance (pricing and licences); and Commercial (partnership agreements and terms)
Establish business compliance needs and implement, when necessary:
- Health & Safety – premises, employment, and 3 rd party accountability
- Licences – trade, product related, premises
Fulfil other duties as required:
- Pick up new activities that fall broadly within the purpose of the role.
- Fix things that you can see need fixing.
- Identify problems and find solutions.
Management of Technical and Project management team:
- Attend Client project meetings and site meetings.
- Oversee and assist Technical and project management teams on projects.
- Installer contracts | SLA’s to clients.
- Oversee maintenance and warrantee processes.
- Oversee warehouse and stock management | KPI’s and appraisals.
Salary offer: R1.2M CTC
