Job Description - Sales Events Coordinator

Sales and Events Coordinator - 5* Establishment - Stellenbosch

Location: Stellenbosch, South Africa

About Us: Join our luxurious 5-star lodge and spa nestled in the heart of Stellenbosch's breathtaking countryside. Our client is renowned for offering unparalleled hospitality, exquisite accommodations, and world-class spa experiences. We are currently seeking a talented and dynamic Sales and Events Coordinator to join their team.

Position Overview: As the Sales and Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for driving sales revenue and coordinating events at our clients prestigious lodge and spa. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven track record in sales and event management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth for the lodge and spa.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive sales initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Respond to inquiries and requests for proposals (RFPs) in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate all aspects of events, including weddings, corporate retreats, and special occasions, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including food and beverage, housekeeping, and spa, to ensure all client needs are met.
  • Prepare contracts, proposals, and event orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Track sales performance and generate regular reports for management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales and event coordination within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Knowledge of the Stellenbosch hospitality market is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
  • Available to start immediately.
