DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Management:
• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure project milestones are met.
• Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
2. Project Coordination:
• Plan, execute, and deliver software projects on time and within budget.
• Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Manage the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
3. Network Management:
• Supervise network infrastructure to ensure stability and security.
• Collaborate with network engineers to optimise performance and resolve issues.
4. Vendor Management:
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for system integrations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
5. IT Technicians and Support:
• Oversee IT support staff to ensure prompt resolution of technical issues.
• Implement and maintain IT policies and procedures.
• Manage hardware and software procurement and inventory.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
• Foster a collaborative environment among teams and departments.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.
• Liaise with senior management to align IT strategies with business goals.
7. Technical Expertise:
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the development and IT teams.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
8. Problem-Solving:
• Identify and address potential risks and issues in projects and infrastructure.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
9. Budget Management:
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget.
• Monitor expenses and optimise resource allocation.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Java development and team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and IT operations.
• Excellent project management and vendor management skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
