Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience in Shopify development; additional experience with platforms like WordPress, Magento, and BigCommerce is advantageous. Strong understanding of Shopify’s architecture, including custom theme development and advanced feature integrations. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES5 and ES6), and SCSS. Experience with Shopify’s Liquid programming language and JavaScript APIs. Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and responsive web design. Familiarity with web standards, semantics, and accessibility guidelines as set by the W3C. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Duties and Responsibilities: Design, develop, and manage e-commerce sites on the Shopify platform. Migrate existing e-commerce stores from other platforms to Shopify. Customise Shopify themes and functionalities using Liquid, JavaScript, and Shopify’s APIs. Integrate third-party and platform-supported apps to extend website capabilities. Configure and optimise Shopify settings for payments, shipping, and taxes. Apply responsive design principles to ensure sites are mobile-friendly across various devices. Implement SEO and conversion rate optimisation strategies to maximise site performance. Use version control tools like GIT to maintain a clean development environment. Manage project timelines and deliverables effectively, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure that the developed features function as intended.
