POSITION INFO:
My client is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in conveyor brake systems to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing conveyor brake systems, as well as providing technical support to production and maintenance teams. Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize conveyor brake systems, including brakes, clutches, gears, and bearings
• Develop and implement engineering solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety of conveyor brake systems
• Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams, troubleshooting issues and recommending corrective actions
• Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for new projects and modifications to existing systems
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Collaborate with other engineers, maintenance personnel, and contractors to execute projects and upgrades
• Manage projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 1+ years of experience in designing and optimizing conveyor brake systems
• Knowledge of brake and clutch design principles, gear trains, and bearings
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASME, CEMA, etc.)
• Proficiency in engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MATLAB)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to perform complex calculations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Project management experience preferred
