Are you ready to embark on an exciting career journey in Agribusiness within Business and Commercial Banking? Our Graduate Programme offers you the opportunity to gain hands on experience in a dynamic and fast paced industry.   

Through a series of rotations, you will gain extensive experience in a wide range of analytical areas across South Africa. Including:  

• Primary Agriculture debt viability investigations  
• Financial modelling   
• Debt structuring  
• Collateral agreements and mechanisms  
• Client relationship management  
• Client portfolio management

Key responsibilities: 

During this 18-month programme, you will have the opportunity to:   

• Gain a working knowledge of agribusiness value chains in South Africa.  
• Understand how debt structuring is done to create an optimal funding and capital structure.  
• Undertake an agricultural viability study and perform financial modelling which  take into consideration market and industry dynamics.  
• Be able to discuss farming and financial prospects with agribusiness clients.  

Postgraduate qualification (recently completed or completing in 2026): 

• BSc Honours in an agriculture related field such as agricultural economics  
• BCom Honours with specialisation in an agriculture related field such as agricultural economics  

 Postgraduate qualification to be completed by 31 December 2026. 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Must be a South African citizen. 
• Should you have work experience, it should not exceed 18 months. 
• Be able to demonstrate an entry level of insight into South African agriculture.    
• Being able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Financial and Management Accounting will be beneficial.  
• Matric certificate to be submitted with application. 
• Full academic transcripts to be submitted with application for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. 

Programme duration: 18 months
