WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

This trainee opportunity offers hands-on experience within a production environment, providing practical training and exposure to manufacturing operations, safety standards, quality processes, and continuous improvement activities. The successful candidate will gain valuable workplace experience while supporting the production team in achieving operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Support daily production activities and ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently

Assist with the handling, movement, and placement of raw materials and finished products

Operate forklifts and other equipment in accordance with safety procedures, where authorized

Conduct routine plant inspections and report any deviations or maintenance requirements

Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with EHS and company standards

Support quality processes by ensuring only approved materials and products are processed

Contribute to productivity improvement and continuous improvement initiatives

Maintain and care for personal protective equipment and operational tools

Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and operational procedures

Perform additional duties and provide support across the production department as required

WHAT YOU OFFER

Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science

Minimum NQF Level 2 Theory completed for Chemical Operators, with only the practical training component outstanding, or completed N6 in Chemical Engineering requiring practical workplace training

Strong commitment to safety and quality standards

Good communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to learn and develop within a manufacturing environment

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow procedures and instructions

Ability to work in a physically demanding production environment
