Main purpose of the role
The Quality Graduate will responsible for implementing process control programs that will assure production of finished goods that meet or exceed customer-specified requirements. He/she leads continuous improvements by utilizing the appropriate quality tools and provide data analysis.
Essential responsibilities and duties
As a Quality Graduate, your main responsibilities are as follows:
• Conduct multiple projects simultaneously ranging from feasibility phase to post launch quality assessment and throughout production life.
- Scrap management for the Plant – Conduct detailed scrap analysis and actions plans to improve scrap % below target. Scrap is managed, using 10 scrap golden used identified for CT plant
- Management of Non Conformance – NC parts are individually Identified and placed in Red/Yellow bins
• Facilitate Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) with Engineering in conjunction with advanced quality-planning activities and monitor the status throughout production life
• Develop, implement and maintain Statistical Process Control techniques
• Assure compliance of the documented quality system (ISO/TS16949) and promote consistency throughout the organization
• Conduct investigations to determine causes of defects, make recommendations for corrective action
• Maintain customer complaint log and facilitate and participate in multiple 8D’s and in the corrective action process; and ensure timeous feedback on the customer portals and Faurecia portals.
• Instruct and train personnel in techniques and use of audit and testing devices
• Monitor and revise quality documentation as required
• Review all production methods for compliance to quality standards and for improvement of product and quality standards
• Perform all responsibilities with ISO/TS16949 system requirements
• Maintain customer specific requirements and audits
Qualifications and position requirements
• Education: Minimum qualification, a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and studying towards a B-Tech degree.
• An academic record mainitaining a overall 70% pass mark.
• Knowledge / understanding of Quality Core tools
• Strong analytical and problem solving-skills required.
• Strong customer satisfaction orientation.
