Accountant

Job Description:

MTN South Africa is looking for a part-time Accountant to join our team in Pretoria, Gauteng. As an entry-level Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks and maintaining accurate financial records. This position requires at least 1 year of prior experience in accounting or a related field.

Responsibilities: - Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements - Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes - Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable - Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement - Assist with the preparation of tax returns and audits - Help maintain financial policies and procedures - Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations - Perform ad-hoc financial tasks as needed

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - 1+ years of experience in accounting or a related field - Energetic and resilient personality traits - Strong communication and negotiation skills - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
