Remote Accounts Payable

Job Description:

FirstRand is seeking a dedicated and resourceful Remote Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Soweto, Gauteng, ZA. This is a part-time position at the Associate level, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic planning skills and demonstrate emotional intelligence in their interactions with team members and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities: - Process vendor invoices and expense reports in a timely and accurate manner - Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies - Assist with month-end closing processes and financial reporting - Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues - Maintain accurate records and files for all accounts payable transactions - Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed

Requirements: - 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related field - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Experience with remote work is a plus
