Job Description:

Shoprite Holdings in Durban, KwaZulu Natal is seeking a part-time Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and possess a reliable and resourceful personality. Soft skills such as persuasion and cooperation are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities: - Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, posting, and recording accounts receivable data - Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities - Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status - Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy - Investigate and resolve customer billing discrepancies and disputes - Communicate with customers to follow up on outstanding payments and resolve issues - Assist with month-end closing and year-end audit processes

Requirements: - 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role - Reliable and resourceful personality traits - Strong soft skills in persuasion and cooperation - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively - Strong written and verbal communication skills
