Accounts Receivable

Job Description:

Absa Group Limited is looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable. As an entry-level position, the Accounts Receivable will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable aging, reconciling accounts, preparing invoices, and processing payments. This role will also involve communicating with clients to ensure timely payment and resolving any billing discrepancies.

Responsibilities: 1. Manage the accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue invoices 2. Reconcile accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies 3. Prepare and send out invoices to clients 4. Process payments and apply them to the correct accounts 5. Communicate with clients to ensure timely payment and resolve any issues 6. Assist with month-end closing processes and financial reporting 7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable transactions 8. Collaborate with other departments to resolve customer inquiries or disputes

Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2. 1+ years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role 3. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 4. Innovative thinking and problem-solving abilities 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software 6. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment 7. Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
