Accounts Receivable - Work from home

Job Description:

Mr Price Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team on a part-time basis, working from home in Johannesburg, Gauteng, ZA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial principles and a high level of accuracy in their work.

Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain accounts receivable records, ensuring all payments are accurately processed and recorded - Follow up on outstanding invoices and communicate with customers to resolve payment discrepancies - Monitor and analyze aging reports to identify overdue accounts and take appropriate actions to collect outstanding balances - Generate monthly financial reports related to accounts receivable for management review - Collaborate with internal teams to streamline billing processes and improve collection efforts - Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies and procedures

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred - Proven experience in accounts receivable with a strong understanding of accounting principles - Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Resourceful and resilient attitude towards problem-solving - Ability to cooperate and negotiate with customers to collect outstanding balances - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment
