Operations Manager

Job Description:

Exxaro Resources, a leading mining company based in Pretoria, Gauteng, is seeking a dedicated and resilient Operations Manager to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. As a mid-to-senior level position, the ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in operations management.

Responsibilities: 1. Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure smooth functioning of all departments within the company. 2. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve efficiency and productivity. 3. Monitor key performance indicators and report on operational performance to senior management. 4. Manage a team of employees, providing leadership, guidance, and support to achieve company objectives. 5. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and drive continuous improvement. 6. Drive innovation and creativity in operations to stay ahead of industry trends. 7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. 8. Identify and implement cost-saving measures to optimize operational expenses.

Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. 2. Proven experience in operations management, with at least 7 years in a similar role. 3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 5. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 6. Creative thinker with the ability to drive change and innovation. 7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
