Account Support Assistant

Job description:

Harmony Gold is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Account Support Assistant to join our team in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. This part-time position is ideal for individuals who are looking to kick start their career in the finance industry. As an Entry Level Account Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our finance team and gain valuable experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.

Responsibilities: 1. Assist with basic accounting tasks such as data entry, invoicing, and reconciliations. 2. Support the finance team in preparing financial reports and statements. 3. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding account inquiries. 4. Provide administrative support to the finance department as needed. 5. Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned. 6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.

Requirements: 1. No prior experience required, but a basic understanding of accounting principles is preferred. 2. Strong organizational and time management skills. 3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. 4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 6. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 7. Driven and adaptable personality traits. 8. Soft skills in strategic planning and people management.
