Chat Support Officer - Work from home

Job Description:

Exxaro Resources is currently seeking a Chat Support Officer to work remotely from home in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. This part-time position at the Associate level requires at least 3 years of experience in customer service or a related field. The ideal candidate will be independent, reliable, have strong teamwork and communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a virtual team environment.

Responsibilities: - Provide excellent customer service through chat support to assist customers with inquiries, issues, and troubleshooting - Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve customer complaints - Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy in all customer interactions - Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department or supervisor as needed - Keep accurate records of customer interactions and transactions - Stay up to date on company products, services, and policies to provide accurate information to customers - Collaborate with team members to improve overall customer satisfaction and support processes

Requirements: - Proven experience in customer service or a related field - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Proficiency in computer software and chat support platforms - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - High school diploma or equivalent
