Job Description:
Gold Fields, a leading mining company, is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Online Chat Support Officer to join our team in Soweto, Gauteng. As an entry-level position, no prior experience is required, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start their career in customer service.
Responsibilities: 1. Provide prompt and efficient online chat support to customers regarding products, services, and general inquiries. 2. Assist customers with troubleshooting technical issues and guide them through problem-solving steps. 3. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. 4. Utilize excellent communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively. 5. Collaborate with team members to resolve complex customer issues and escalate as needed. 6. Keep abreast of product updates and changes to provide accurate information to customers. 7. Document customer interactions and feedback to improve service quality and efficiency. 8. Adhere to company policies and procedures while interacting with customers and handling sensitive information.
Requirements: 1. Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience preferred. 2. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in customer service is a plus. 3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 5. Confidence and reliability to handle challenging customer interactions. 6. Adaptability to changing situations and willingness to learn new skills. 7. Strong negotiation skills to address customer concerns and reach satisfactory resolutions.
