Online Web Chat Officer

Job Description:

Gold Fields is seeking a motivated and energetic Online Web Chat Officer to join our team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This part-time position at the Associate Level requires at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities: 1. Engage with website visitors through live chat to provide information and support. 2. Answer customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. 3. Conduct research to provide accurate and relevant information to website visitors. 4. Manage multiple chat conversations simultaneously. 5. Collaborate with the marketing team to coordinate chat activities with promotional campaigns. 6. Monitor website traffic and chat metrics to identify opportunities for improvement. 7. Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department for resolution. 8. Maintain a high level of knowledge about company products and services. 9. Assist with other online customer service tasks as needed.

Requirements: 1. Proven experience as a Online Web Chat Officer or in a similar customer service role. 2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 3. Strong research and project management skills. 4. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. 5. Proficiency in using live chat software and other customer service tools. 6. Flexible schedule to accommodate part-time hours. 7. High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
