Remote Support Specialist

Job Description: Old Mutual is seeking a skilled Remote Support Specialist to join our team in Cape Town, Western Cape. As a part-time Associate Level position, the Remote Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to remote users, ensuring that all IT systems and applications are running efficiently. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role and possess a resilient and motivated personality.

Responsibilities: - Provide remote technical support to users, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems in a timely manner - Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement solutions to improve system performance - Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades on IT systems and applications - Assist with the installation and configuration of new software and hardware - Document and maintain accurate records of all support activities - Communicate effectively with users to provide clear instructions and guidance on technical issues - Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends and developments in the industry

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred - Minimum of 3 years of experience in a remote support role - Proven experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively - Experience with remote desktop tools and IT ticketing systems - Resilient and motivated personality - Soft skills in strategic planning and leadership
