Job Description:
Pick n Pay Stores is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Web Chat Associate. This part-time role is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, and is ideal for someone who is confident, driven, and eager to kick-start their career in the customer service industry.
Responsibilities: 1. Engage customers via web chat to provide support, answer queries, and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner. 2. Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and a positive customer experience. 3. Utilize emotional intelligence to understand and empathize with customer needs and concerns. 4. Manage multiple chat conversations simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. 5. Take ownership of customer issues and follow through to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction. 6. Demonstrate project management skills by prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively. 7. Uphold company values and standards in all interactions with customers and colleagues. 8. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
Requirements: 1. 1 year of experience in a customer service or sales role is preferred. 2. Confident and driven personality with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. 3. Strong emotional intelligence to navigate complex customer interactions with empathy and understanding. 4. Project management skills to effectively juggle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities. 5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 7. Knowledge of basic computer programs and web-based chat platforms. 8. High school diploma or equivalent required.
