Web Chat Officer

Gold Fields is seeking a dynamic and reliable individual to join our team as a part-time Web Chat Officer at our office in Johannesburg, Gauteng, ZA. As an Associate Level position with a minimum of 4 years of experience, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in engaging with our customers through our online chat platform.

Responsibilities: - Engage with customers in real-time through web chat to provide information, support, and assistance - Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and escalate complex problems to the appropriate department - Utilize persuasion skills to guide customers towards solutions and products that meet their needs - Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services - Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special offers and campaigns through web chat - Conduct strategic planning to optimize web chat performance and enhance customer experience - Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and report on key metrics related to web chat engagement

Requirements: - Energetic and enthusiastic with a customer-centric approach - Reliable and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Excellent written communication skills with a keen attention to detail - Previous experience in customer service or sales is preferred - Strong persuasion skills and ability to influence customer behavior - Demonstrated ability to think strategically and find creative solutions to problems - Proficiency in using web chat platforms and basic technical troubleshooting skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus
