Communications Specialist

Job Description:

As a Communications Specialist at Standard Bank Group in Cape Town, Western Cape, you will play a key role in crafting and executing communication strategies to enhance the bank's brand image and engage with stakeholders. This is a part-time, entry-level position ideal for individuals with 1 year of experience and who possess a strong drive and motivation to excel in the field of communications.

Responsibilities: 1. Develop and implement communication strategies to reach a diverse range of stakeholders. 2. Write and edit content for various communication channels including press releases, website content, and social media posts. 3. Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media conversations related to the bank. 4. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication platforms. 5. Assist in organizing events and promotional campaigns to promote the bank's initiatives. 6. Maintain relationships with media contacts and handle any media inquiries. 7. Support the Communications Manager in various projects as needed.

Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field. 2. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms. 4. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. 5. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 6. Experience in a similar role is a plus.
