Communications Specialist

Job Description:

We are looking for a part-time Communications Specialist to join our team at Kumba Iron Ore in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. As an Associate-level role, the ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in communications or a related field.

Responsibilities: - Develop and implement communication strategies to promote the company's brand and values - Write and edit content for internal and external communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, and social media posts - Coordinate with various departments to ensure consistency in messaging and branding - Monitor and analyze communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts - Respond to media inquiries and manage relationships with press contacts - Organize and coordinate special events, such as press conferences or community outreach programs - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in communication

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field - Hardworking and resilient personality traits - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite - Experience with social media management and digital marketing - Knowledge of communication tools and techniques - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
