Pr Associate

Job Description: We are looking for a part-time PR Associate to join our team at Nedbank Group in Cape Town, Western Cape, ZA. As an Associate Level position, you will be responsible for supporting the public relations team in implementing communication strategies and tactics to enhance the company's reputation and brand image.

Responsibilities: 1. Assist in developing and implementing PR campaigns to promote the company's products, services, and initiatives. 2. Write press releases, media alerts, and other communication materials for distribution to media outlets. 3. Monitor media coverage and prepare media reports for internal and external stakeholders. 4. Coordinate and support media interviews, press conferences, and other PR events. 5. Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and other key media contacts. 6. Assist in managing social media accounts and engaging with followers to enhance the company's online presence. 7. Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and public opinion to provide insights for communication strategies. 8. Support internal communication efforts by drafting newsletters, memos, and other communication materials for employees. 9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on messaging and branding across all channels. 10. Provide administrative support to the PR team as needed.

Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in public relations, communications, or related field. 3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 4. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. 5. Resourceful and reliable individual with a proactive attitude. 6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. 7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms. 8. Experience working with media relations and social media management tools is a plus.
