Job Description:
MMI Holdings is currently seeking a passionate and hardworking PR Associate to join our team in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. As a part-time Associate Level position, you will be responsible for supporting the public relations team in executing various PR initiatives and campaigns.
Responsibilities: - Assist in developing and implementing PR strategies to enhance the company's public image - Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to organize events, press conferences, and media interviews - Draft press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials - Monitor and analyze media coverage to identify trends and opportunities for PR efforts - Maintain relationships with media contacts and respond to media inquiries in a timely manner - Support social media efforts including content creation and monitoring - Assist in crisis communication and reputation management efforts - Provide general administrative support to the PR team as needed
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PR or communications role - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms - Knowledge of PR best practices and industry trends
