Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and resilient Remote PR Associate to join our team at FirstRand in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. As an Associate level position, the ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in public relations or a related field. This is a part-time position with opportunities for growth within the company.

Responsibilities: - Develop and implement strategic communication plans to promote the company's brand and messaging - Write press releases, articles, and other communication materials - Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers - Monitor and analyze media coverage to identify opportunities for positive exposure - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms - Assist with crisis communication strategies as needed - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in public relations

Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment - Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines - Time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with PR software tools - Ability to work independently and remotely - Motivated to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment - Resilient in the face of challenges and setbacks
