Job Description:
Adcock Ingram is seeking a dedicated and reliable PR Associate to join our team in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. As a PR Associate, you will be responsible for managing the public relations activities for the company. This is a part-time position at the Associate Level, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in public relations.
Responsibilities: - Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance the company's reputation and brand image - Write and distribute press releases, media alerts, and other PR materials - Maintain relationships with media contacts and pitch stories to journalists - Coordinate and manage press events, interviews, and press conferences - Monitor and analyze media coverage and prepare reports for management - Assist in crisis communication and reputation management efforts - Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging and branding - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in PR
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field - 2+ years of experience in public relations - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others - Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PR software - Knowledge of social media platforms and trends - Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical PR is a plus
