Interpreter

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate, impartial interpretation between English and Xhosa during hearings, disciplinary meetings, and other HR -related sessions.
  

• Ensure that all parties fully understand the proceedings while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  

• Assist HR personnel in conveying messages clearly and accurately in both languages.
  

• Maintain neutrality, professionalism, and discretion at all times.
  

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Fluency in English and Xhosa (spoken and understood) is essential.
  

• Prior experience in interpretation, ideally in an HR, legal, or corporate setting.
  

• Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  

• Ability to remain impartial and professional during sensitive discussions.
  

• Punctual, reliable, and able to manage time effectively.
  

• High school diploma or equivalent; further language or interpretation training is a plus.
  

Work Schedule:

• Part -time; hours will depend on scheduled hearings and HR requirements.
  

• Flexibility to attend hearings on short notice may be required.
  

Remuneration:

• Competitive hourly rate (to be discussed during the hiring process).
