Part Time Marketing & Communications Lead (Strategy & Delivery)
Overview
Our client is an international, mission -driven organisation working in the global health and
development space. They are seeking an experienced Marketing & Communications Lead
who can combine strategic thinking with hands -on execution.
This is not a people -management role. It suits someone who enjoys shaping direction and
personally delivering high -quality content, campaigns, and digital activity within a realistic,
part -time workload.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders to prioritise high -impact
activity and ensure marketing and communications efforts directly support awareness,
engagement, and income generation.
The Role
This role blends strategy, content creation, and delivery. You will take ownership of
marketing and communications activity from planning through to execution and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
â Developing and maintaining a clear marketing and communications approach aligned
to organisational goals
â Planning and delivering integrated campaigns that support awareness, fundraising,
and supporter engagement
â Creating content across digital channels including social media, websites, email,
blogs, and short -form video
â Managing day -to -day social media activity including scheduling, monitoring,
engagement, and reporting
â Ensuring consistent tone, messaging, and visual identity across all communications
â Maintaining and updating website content using established CMS platforms
â Supporting fundraising and partnership initiatives through content, proposals, and
campaign materials
â Coordinating content calendars and inputs across internal teams
â Monitoring performance and using data to refine activity and demonstrate impact
â Supporting sensitive or reactive communications alongside senior leadership when
required
The role is primarily remote, with infrequent planned travel (typically once per year) for key
meetings or events.
Skills & Experience Required
This role is suited to a mid -to -senior -level practitioner who is confident working
independently and managing their own priorities.
Essential:
â Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing, communications, or digital roles
â Strong hands -on content creation skills, including graphics and short -form video
â End -to -end social media management experience
â Experience updating and managing websites using CMS platforms (Squarespace
essential)
â Excellent written and spoken English
â Strong organisational and project management skills
â Understanding of ethical, inclusive, and accessible communications
Desirable:
â Experience working with charities, NGOs, or fundraising campaigns
â Familiarity with CRM or supporter data tools
â Photography or videography skills
â Experience supporting partnerships or sponsorship activity
