Job Description
A cutting-edge health tech startup is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to spearhead its brand presence and digital marketing strategy. The company is launching a revolutionary AI-powered medical app that scans a user’s face to capture 24 vital signs in under one minute. The app has already achieved medical-grade validation (FDA/TGA approvals for certain vitals) and will initially launch in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
The Social Media Manager will build the brand’s online presence from the ground up — creating social pages, designing content, planning campaigns, and driving awareness to support user acquisition goals of 50,000–70,000 free users in the first three months with a target 30% conversion to paid plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, set up, and manage all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Develop a content calendar, launch strategy, and growth campaigns tailored to AU/NZ markets
- Design high-quality graphics, visuals, and copywriting for posts and ads
- Manage organic engagement and paid campaigns to increase user acquisition
- Track performance metrics and optimize campaigns for conversion to paid users
- Collaborate closely with the founder and internal teams to align brand messaging
- Build brand awareness and establish credibility in the health tech space
Must-Have Requirements
- Proven experience in social media management & digital marketing (portfolio required)
- Healthcare, tech, or startup industry background strongly preferred
- Ability to create both strategy and execution (content design + campaign management)
- Strong understanding of targeted marketing in AU/NZ regions
- Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, Meta Ads, Google Ads, or similar
- Excellent written and visual communication skills
- Highly proactive, independent, and results-driven personality
