Objective of this Scope of Work
The main purpose of this position is to provide dedicated change management services to support the business goals and objectives; and ensure alignment of business, information, and technology strategies at a solution level for new initiatives, projects and programmes emanating from the Corporate Services Department within the Company.
Scope of Services Definition
The scope will include but will not be limited to:
Define own work plan and change management deliverables in alignment with the change approach and methodology in company. The Change Consultant will also prioritise their own deliverables and work activities and align to the Change Practitioner, should a Change Practitioner be allocated to the CSD Portfolio.
Build and sustain client relationships and understand potential impacts to key stakeholders.
Manage the change component of projects and deliver on time, within budget and with requisite quality standards and uptake of the change initiative.
Make business impact by delivering results that leave a lasting effect or difference.
Facilitate adoption of new behaviours required to realise the benefit of change.
Engage key stakeholders to better understand their vision of success and help them identify how they could contribute to the overall vision of success.
Propose improvement to workflow and application of processes, where relevant.
Work in collaboration with the Systems Training team, where applicable, and under the guidance of the Change Practitioner should the latter be appointed.
Work to get vendors aligned and on board as part of the project team, where relevant and needed.
Key responsibilities:
Provide the following change management services for the CSD Portfolio: (Projects, Programmes and new Demands)
Deliver high quality and relevant work which includes deliverables such as:
Project change management strategies or approach to a project initiative;
Communication plan;
Stakeholder analysis and management plan;
Sponsor/owner/leadership action plan;
Project change management risk register;
Project change management progress report/dashboard;
Coordinate actions linked to the systems training team, where applicable;
Collaborate with human resources change management where relevant and needed;
Assessments and feedback at the appropriate times for example Impact Assessments, Readiness Assessments, adoption and utilisation assessments; and Work plans/implementation plans for all of the above.
Knowledge, experience and personal competencies
Education and experience:
A minimum of a B Degree in Human Sciences, Business or related at NQF level 7 OR equivalent.
Change management qualification or certification example Prosci, HCMBoK etc.
A minimum of 3 - 5 years of job-related change management experience.
