Senior Photonics Engineer

About the technological area

You will be part of the Advanced Communications Area, specifically you will focus in the field ofmicro-nanoelectronics and photonics, applying your knowledge to fields such as Communications, Aerospace, Security or Broadcast, as well as explore new technologies that will promote disruptivenanotechnology solutions with application in more diverse areas.

Your main tasks

● Design, development and implementation of photonic and/or micro-nanoelectronicsolutionsfor different applications. ● Design, development and characterization of photonic integrated circuits (PICs). ● Simulation and performance optimization of optoelectronic and/or purely photoniccomponents. ● Development of specialized simulation environments and tools. ● Component characterization, data analysis and presentation. ●Generation and management of technological products (product owner) and projects (project manager). ● Support on the generation of proposals for national and international calls. ● Technological surveillance and applicability analysis of new technologies.

Your profile

● PhD in photonics/optoelectronics or equivalent+5 years experience in relevant position. ● Experience in nanophotonics and/or integrated photonics. ● Hands on experience in optical lab and/or software/hardware interfacing. ● Experience in simulation and design of optoelectronic and/or photonic components (Lumerical, Comsol, ..). ● Experience programming data analysis and presentation tools (Matlab, Python, ..). ● High commitment and work autonomy. ● Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. ● Excellent written and spoken English level.

It would be great if you could have

●Experience developing simulation environments or interface macros with commercial software. ●Experience in the field of RF photonics, microwave photonics or THz photonics. ● Experience in the telecommunications industry.

Salary: From 28.000€SBA + 10% variable depending on your knowledge, experience and desire.
