Job summary
The Sales Manager role requires experience in hotel sales, with a focus on direct sales. The Sales Manager is responsible for managing group requests and achieving sales objectives. The Sales Manager must understand client needs and build strong client relationships.
Job seniority: associate level
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets. • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with key clients and partners. • Conduct market research and analyze data on industry trends and competitor activities. • Collaborate with marketing teams to create innovative promotional strategies. • Carry out proactive sales actions to achieve department goals. • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners. • Travel to trade shows, fairs, and sales calls to bring in business. • Respond promptly to incoming inquiries and qualify requests to obtain guest's needs. • Prepare proposals and quotations to maximize revenue. • Manage site inspections and coordinate departments for a perfect site inspection of the hotel. • Perform general administrative tasks within the sales department. • Enter and reconcile booking information within the internal system. • Promote a good working environment and collaborate with colleagues in the department. • Maintain good relationships with colleagues from other departments. • Contribute to the training process and onboarding of new team members when needed.
Requirements
• Minimum 1 year experience in the sales department in the tourism sector. • Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel setting. • Fluency in English and Spanish. • Customer orientation, empathy, planning and organizing, attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
