Carlos Folle Affiliated Lecturer Marketing

Carlos Folle holds a PhD in Management from IESE Business School, an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, UK and a Bachelor’s CPA degree from Universidad de la República, Uruguay.

He has occupied several positions as: Dean of IEEM Business School, Universidad de Montevideo, Uruguay, Director of Internationalization and Accreditations, Director of the AMP Mercosul, as well as Vice Dean of the Undergraduate School of Business and Economics and General Administrator of the same University.

Professor Folle leads the Marketing academic department at IEEM. He regularly lectures in other business schools such as AESE (Portugal), IESE (Spain, Brazil Munich and USA), ISE (Brazil), IAE (Argentina), IDE (Ecuador), ESE (Chile), and INALDE (Colombia), as well as business schools in the UK, India and the Dominican Republic. He is part of the Harvard Business School – IESE - IEEM International Advisory Committee since 2012, Nyenrode Business Universiteit’s International Advisory Board (Netherlands) since 2019, and AESE Business School’s International Advisory Board (Portugal) since 2020. He has integrated business school accreditation peer review teams for AMBA (The Association of MBAs, UK), and EFMD (Brussels), and has been part of the EFMD America´s steering committee and the EFMD Programme Accreditation Board.

His areas of expertise include the design and management of going to market strategies through omnichannel distribution, managing sales forces and their impact on company performance, as well as succession, ownership and governance in family businesses. He has also done consulting in areas as diverse as automotive, construction, energy, financial services, insurance, pharma and fast-moving consumer goods, as well as corporate governance in family businesses - where he serves on various boards. Previously he spent over 15 years working in industry in the pharmaceutical, chemical and food and drinks sectors.
