Associate - Small Molecule at Mantell AssociatesMantell Associates is partnered with an innovative Pharmaceutical organisation in their search for a Commercial Director. Commercial Director - Responsibilities:Define and develop the strategy to consolidate and scale up OTC business in EuropeWork with country General Managers, Commercial Directors, Sales & Marketing Directors in understanding the various markets and develop/fine tune appropriate Sales & Marketing strategies for OTC businessIdentify new sales channels (Supermarkets/Pharmacy Chains/Wholesalers etc) and establish a strategy to approach and develop relationship in order to maximise business opportunitiesCreate and implement branding and promotion strategies as appropriateInterface with various global teams (Country organizations, Global Supply Chain, Business Development, Pharmaceutical Affairs, Finance etc) to ensure efficient and smooth servicing of existing contracts and in securing future contractsPrepare Business Plans & Forecasts for the European OTC business and execute the sameEnsure to meet the targeted revenue and market shareEstablish, nurture and build relationship with key customer stake holders via field visits, industry events and other promotional eventsDevelop new business by consistently investigating the market and working with country teams/ distributors and other partners to identify new selling opportunitiesAlign strategies with the future pipeline as well as complete business case proposals for the development of new productsContribute to Global and European initiatives to strengthen companies brand and businessGather market intelligence at a European level to aid decision making in companies strategic decisionsIndustry networking to bring onboard suitable inlicencing opportunitiesRepresent the company in various industry forums and in the general market placeCommercial Director - Requirements:12+ years of experience in Generic Pharmaceutical, of which a significant portion in Sales & Marketing/Business Development /Portfolio functions in an OTC business, with demonstrated successful track recordExperience of OTC business in Europe across multiple countriesDetailed understanding of business development, marketing and sales functions in OTC businessExcellent network in the industry especially with OTC buying decision makersGood understanding of global supply chain in the generic pharmaceutical industry/OTCSound understanding of the various activities of the pharmaceutical industry: portfolio, regulatory affairs, IP, procurement and supply chainGood analytical skills in the areas of competition analysis , market share and pricingMantell Associates is a specialist Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences headhunting firm.
