The business has a long history of providing care to elderly Australians and NDIS participants. Furthermore, the business has experienced significant growth in these markets and is ambitious to expand into new areas of care delivery.

About the Role

Reporting to the Arcare Chief Executive Officer, the Executive General Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of home and community services and be involved in marketing Bodewell nationally. With plans to standout and expand Bodewell services into other states you will be responsible in creating innovative ideas in the home care and community sector and successfully project manage from strategic planning though to successful execution. You will work closely and collaboratively with the National Home Care Manager to strengthen and grow the brand in the marketplace and create new business streams. The position will be based in Victoria but may require the successful applicant to travel intrastate and interstate.

Responsibilities include:

  • Business Development - build and maintain positive rapport with service providers / brokers / facilities /aged care and disability providers, external networks and Arcare departments;
  • Growing the existing business lines in terms of hours and profitability;
  • Development of business plan to commence allied health, home nursing and telemedicine;
  • Leading a growing workforce that is engaged and productive;
  • Ensuring the organisation maintains its compliance accreditation and focus on quality of care;
  • Management of Government relations and engagement with Regulators;
  • Develop a strategic and financial plan for the growth ambitions of the business;
  • Lead and mentor direct reports and other senior team members to ensure highly functioning and effective teams that work in a collaborative manner.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven results in building a business brand, understanding financials, gaining ongoing brand recognition and traction
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant health, business or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar position within the Healthcare, Community or Aged Care setting
  • Current knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
  • The ability to build and maintain positive and strategic working relationships with various stakeholders and foster a positive environment at all levels
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to changing demands within the business
  • Well-developed strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Current NDIS screening clearance
  • Current Drivers Licence and own vehicle
