JOB DESCRIPTION

The Oncology Translational Research Group opens a temporary job position to work on the analysis of transcriptomics data from human tumor samples. The goal of the project is to identify spatial biomarkers that correlate with the outcome of patients, ideally identifying differences in pre-treatment and post-treatment samples.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate will be in charge of analyzing transcriptomics data. The candidate will also act as a liaison with several ongoing collaborations of our group with other local experts in spatial transcriptomics. S/he will also have to prepare figures and write scientific manuscripts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE

Bachelor degree in bioinformatics or a related field is a must.
Good English level.
Candidates with knowledge of the analysis of both, Xenium and VISIUM data, will be prioritized.
The position further requires excellent organizational capacity, outstanding troubleshooting skills, and strong team working skills.
Previous experience in the analysis of spatial transcriptomics data is a must.

Temporary contract, full time.
Date of incorporation: As soon as possible.
Gross annual remuneration inherent to the square objected to this call, will be fixed based on the experience provided and the skills of the candidate, distributed in 12 payments.

The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is a public research centre located in Badalona. Its main objective is to increase scientific knowledge in order to transform it into solutions to improve the health and medical care of patients and the community.
