3D Modeler - Lead

What you will do

• Provide artistic and technical feedback to the modeling team, ensuring all characters, environments, and props meet the highest quality standards and studio guidelines under the guidance of the Modeling Supervisor.
• Act as a key support to the Modeling Supervisor, maintaining artistic direction, taking decisive action, and stepping in to lead the department in their absence.
• Track team progress, review deliverables, and resolve complex design or technical issues to ensure alignment with the project’s vision.
• Contribute to establishing style guides, naming conventions, and modeling protocols to optimize the production pipeline.
• Collaborate closely with downstream departments to ensure all models are cleanly optimized for rigging and subsequent animation stages.
• Mentor artists with empathy and strong communication, fostering a proactive, dynamic, and highly organized team environment.

What we are looking for?

• Solid experience as a Senior 3D Modeler and/or in a leadership role within the 3D animation industry.
• Advanced mastery of 3D modeling software (Maya, ZBrush, Blender) as well as texturing and retopology tools.
• Deep understanding of anatomy, form, volume, clean topology, and mesh optimization for animation pipelines.
• Proven ability to translate 2D artistic vision into functional, visually striking 3D models while solving complex creative and technical challenges.
• Strong leadership profile: highly organized, decisive, proactive, versatile, and confident under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, teamwork mindset, and a empathetic, motivating approach to guiding artists.
• Advanced English is required for this leadership role
