Join the Gigglebug crew for a new 2D production for our adult label In-Stitches! Based on an existing web comic property and comprising 22-minute episodes, we are looking to crew up for this black-and-white, 2D series that explores “your average devil-worshipping family next door"

Responsibilities (Anim Sup):

• Work in partnership with the Director, Production Manager and the Animation Team to interpret and develop directors creative vision


• Closely collaborate with the Production Team and Pipeline Team to optimise the production workflow and make sure the technical requirements are consistently met within each department


• Establish the technical and artistic guidelines with the Director and the Production Manager considering budget and schedule requirements

• Suggest creative solutions, utilising strong knowledge of the ToonBoom Harmony and its latest tools


• Review animation and make sure the animation guidelines are well understood an used within the animation team
  


• Provide accurate bids on labour intensity and resource requirements to accomplish expected tasks on time and budget

Animation style is best suited for supervisors with strengths in:

• Dynamic posing


• Good drawing skills


• Snappy, pose to pose animation


• An understanding of sit-com scenes, dialogue and subtle facial expressions


• Character acting in adult animation

Requirements:

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in animation


• Excellent knowledge of ToonBoom Harmony and Shotgrid


• Strong drawing skills and deep knowledge of traditional animation and cut-out animation


• A good knowledge of rigs and typical rigging set-ups


• Excellent understanding of 2D animation process and workflows


• Ability to adapt to varying production demands and shifting priorities


• Effective problem solving skills, solution oriented mindset


• Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines


• Great team-spirit and communication skills


• A passion for cartoons
