Assistant Store Manager Madrid 40h (f/m/x)

We are looking for a second Assistant Store Manager for one of our highest‑turnover stores in Madrid, located in El Corte Inglés, with a permanent contract of 40 hours per week, immediate start, and working across the menswear & womenswear sales floors.



  • Position: Second Assistant Store Manager

  • Location: One of our highest‑turnover stores in Madrid.

  • Contract type: Permanent

  • Working hours: 40 hours per week

  • Start date: Immediate

  • Area of work: Menswear & womenswear sales floor



 



What you can expect:

Key responsibilities:



  • Take full responsibility for all store areas and team members in the absence of the Store Manager, as well as for all related operational tasks.

  • Support the Store Manager in recruitment processes, staff scheduling and performance evaluation.

  • Drive the team to achieve the store’s performance targets and KPIs.

  • Implement and maintain a customer‑centric mindset to build a loyal customer base.

  • Promote the use of all available tools, ensuring the correct execution of procedures and compliance with policies.

  • Develop and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of our competitors and the local market, sharing any relevant insights with your Area Manager and the retail team.


Your profile:

Requirements / Candidate profile:



  • Previous experience in a similar management role within a premium retail environment (3 to 5 years).

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Previous experience working in a shop‑in‑shop environment, preferably at El Corte Inglés (ECI).

  • Strong knowledge and skills in analysing KPIs.

  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to business needs.

  • Strong commercial acumen and brand awareness.

  • Willingness to learn and continuously develop.

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.

  • Experience in networking and building relationships.

  • Strong sales focus.

  • Advanced or professional level of English.

  • Professional or native level of Spanish.
