About the role


We are looking for an Associate Collections Specialist for a temporary maternity leave cover in our Madrid office. Your main role will be to manage the recovery of outstanding invoices, ensuring fluid communication with customers and keeping our internal records up to date. This is an operational role focused on efficiency and organization.


About the team


You will join the Finance & Accounting team in Madrid. We are a collaborative group working to maintain the company's financial health, using digital tools to resolve billing issues efficiently.


What will you be doing?



  • Collections Management: Proactively follow up on outstanding invoices exclusively via email using the Zendesk platform.

  • Account Reconciliation: Review and ensure customer payments match issued invoices, keeping accounts balanced.

  • Issue Resolution: Identify reasons for non-payment reported by customers and coordinate internal resolution to expedite collection.

  • Tools Management: Maintain detailed records of every interaction and update financial statuses using Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, etc.) and our accounting software.


What are we looking for?



  • 2 years of experience in administrative tasks or accounting.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to write professional, clear, and polite emails in Spanish.

  • Language Skills: Spanish native and English intermediate level (read and write)

  • Technical Proficiency: Regular user of Google tools (especially spreadsheets). 

  • Previous experience with Zendesk is a plus.

  • Organization: Ability to handle a steady volume of emails and stay organized while following up on cases.
